Hi, I'm Erin.
I'm a certified postpartum doula, a mom of two, and the person Charlotte families call when the casseroles stop showing up.
How I got here
I came to this work through my own postpartum. I remember the fog of it, the doubting, the way visitors held the baby while the laundry and the dishes and I all quietly fell apart. When I trained and started doing this for other families, I promised myself no mother I worked with would ever feel like a guest in her own recovery.
How I work
I've spent years in the homes of new families, through agencies and now on my own, with singletons and twins, C-sections and home births, breastfeeding, pumping, formula, and every combination. I don't arrive with a program. I arrive, look around, and figure out what your family needs today, because it changes daily and that's normal.
The practical stuff
Trained specifically in the weeks after birth, not just newborn care. That means recovery, feeding, and the whole household are inside my lane, and I know where that lane ends.
Current and renewed on schedule. I hope it's never needed, and I'd rather you never wonder.
Professional liability coverage is in place, the same way you'd expect from anyone working in your home. It's a small thing that says I take this seriously.
I'm happy to share it before you ever meet me. You're letting someone into your home during the most vulnerable stretch of your life. Ask for whatever helps you feel sure.
I'll connect you with families I've worked with so you can hear it from them, not from me. Most of what I know about being helpful, they taught me.
Let's talk about your family.
